Emmy has arrived!!!
We got to Stephenville last night and got to spend time with Aunt JuJu on her last night of being pregnant.

Then we got up bright and early this morning,
arriving at the hospital at 6am.

Pitocin was started at 7:15am and she was on her way!
Aunt JuJu got an epidural at about 10am that was trouble from the beginning. They tried three different times to get it in and even once they suppossedly had it right, they kept coming in to test it. She had a little relief at first but then she started hurting pretty bad again. They tried repositioning her, upping the epidural medicine a couple of times and then as a last resort they were going to give her a different type of pain medicine. In the middle of all of this, she progressed from a 5 to a 10 and by then it was too late to give her anything. She was on her own! THREE hours after the epidural completely wore off, and after TWO hours of pushing Emmy Elizabeth was born. (It took two vaccuums to get the little one to budge.)

During the wait to meet Emmy, Lauren made friends with Emmy's other cousin Ava.
They swapped girlie stories...
And showed each other how they could both clap!
And then we met the newest princess!

*** To top off our exciting day, our family friends Amanda (Steve and Harriett Wilson's daughter) and her husband Les welcomed their little girl, Madeline Brooke, today just 45 minutes before Emmy's arrival. Congrats to the Lawless and Wilson Families!!!***
We are so happy for Josh & Julie. What a beautiful and healthy baby little Emmy is. She will definitely grow up with some very loving and cute cousins. Congratulatios to the Allens, Roberts and Guinn families, too!
