12 Month Checkup

We had our 12 month checkup today
(although the babies are technically 12 1/2 months)!

We picked up Daddy at work and headed to the medical center for our afternoon appointment. Our pediatrician's office is EXCELLENT about getting us back to our room quickly and always has the corner room (the largest one) saved for us. Once, they even kicked another family out of our room and moved them to a smaller one even thought we would have been perfectly fine waiting or squeezing into the small room ourselves.

Anyway, the appointment went great and I'm happy to report that everyone has done some growing...actually ALOT of growing!!!



Lathan
FOC (his head or as the nurse likes to say
his coconut circumference): 19
Height: 30 1/2 inches (75th percentile)
Weight: 22lbs 8 ounces (50th percentile)
His height really shows a big growth spurt. Three months ago his height was in the 15-25 % range and now its 75th!!!)

Weight: 19 lbs. 11 ounces (9th percentile)

Now taller than Logan!!!


Each baby got three shots (2 injections) but otherwise had a fantastic visit!

After our appointment we went over to Texas Women's and got to see one of our most favorite nurses who cared for me during my 6 week stay prior to delivery...Phyllis.

One of Phyllis' patients had an emergency so Lathan went with her to call the doctor (actually the doctor who delivered our babies!) I'm certain that Lathan was a huge help during the whole ordeal.



We left the hospital and proceeded on to MawMaw's house where we got to play and eat with MawMaw, Grandpa, Aunt Sandy and Uncle Jake. We always have so much fun over there! Poor MawMaw had just had her house cleaned. Unfortunately I think her feet will be sticking to the floor (thanks to applejuice and puffs) for a while. We made such a mess...sorry MawMaw!!!

After a fun filled day it was time to head home. The past two days I have found the babies holding hands in the backseat...SO SWEET!

I think that's all I have for now. For those of you on Emmy Alert...if the little one doesn't make her appearance this weekend, Aunt JuJu will be induced at 6am Monday morning...WE'RE SO EXCITED!!!
