Oh dear...

While I was in the living room folding laundry the triplets were in the playroom...they were awfully quiet which usually means they're up to something, so I called Logan in (he's my watchdog and I can pretty much count on him to tell me if something mischievous is going on). He told me they were working on a surprise for me and that he'd come and get me when it was ready. Fair enough.

He was really excited when he asked me to come and see "my surprise". He asked me to close my eyes and cover them with my hands. Imagine my surprise when I was told to open them...

They had dumped ALL of the books off of BOTH bookshelves, emptied ALL puzzles, taken EVERY single toy out of ALL of the buckets. They even took the shoes out of the shoe cubbies and added them to the pile.

Logan kept asking if I was surprised. "Surprised Logan??? If I woke up tomorrow with my head sewn to the carpet I wouldn't be more surprised than I am right now". Guess he's never seen Christmas Vacation cause he just looked at me funny.

They were so proud of themselves that I let them know I was grateful but hopefully I got through to them that this was a surprise I won't ever need again!

Smile

I have more pictures from this weekend to post, but I must go to bed. Had to share this one though...made me smile :)

Sweet boy keeps waking up asking if today is the day he gets to play t-ball. (Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it yet...although we've already signed up, games won't start until October!)

As a finale to our playdate, Mr Kurt gave an impromptu music lesson. He already had mega points from my kids for being a pilot and now that they know he plays the guitar...he's pretty much a celebrity!

We always have a great time with the Leslie's!

Trioisms

Since the trio is getting older, their funny phrases and mispronunciations are getting fewer and fewer but we still have some good ones. My favorites these days...

"Sgabetti" - Spaghetti (I actually have to think about this sometimes to remember which one is right since we say Sgabetti so often!)

"Wisher Wipers" - Windshield Wipers

"Gasoline" - Vaseline (This one is hilarious...lately Lauren does too good of a job wiping after she uses the bathroom, so much so that she had a little raw spot. She came up to me the other night and asked me to put "gasoline on her hiney"!

"Cepan" - Pecan

Lauren always asks "What you said?"

Lathan (when he hears something funny) "Oh no...NEVER!"

Always makes me laugh to hear them go into the bathroom and tell each other "I need privacy". They must say this 100 times a day!

They don't really say this too much any more now that they are used to it, but when London first came home and I was feeding him, they'd always ask "What london doing? He eatin' your boobie?"

I'm sure there are more, I'll have to update this list when I think of them and see if Patrick has any to add :)

Tuesday

Boys in their matching pj's...

Nay Nay wasn't feeling well today. He pretty much spent the morning chillin' on the chair. I thought his ear infection may be coming back, but he woke up from his nap happy and full of energy again. We'll see...guess the test will be how well he sleeps tonight! (Note the blue hands from our art project today...the trio took it upon themselves to color their bodies and not necessarily their paper!)

Logan was bummed that his buddy didn't want to play

On a different note - guess who LOVES blueberries!!!

Who me?

Silly boy - sucking on his bib, enjoying every last drop!

Market Street

Friday night Daddy went to hang out with some of his buddies so Aunt Pammie, Grammie and I took the fab four up to Market Street for dinner and to play in the fountains.

Cafe Express with Grammie

Loaded up and headed for the fountains!

Trio with Aunt Pammie ready to get wet!

Off they go...

Lathan stomping the water

Logan putting his face in it!

After playing in the water and no less than 100 trips to the potty, we treated the trio to ice cream...

Aunt Pammie & London

Mommy & Her Babies

It was our 1st real outing since being potty trained and though lots of fun, it was definetly exhausting!

I can report that Lauren is now 100% potty trained and has only had ONE accident (the 1st night when she slept with no diaper). She now wakes up from naps and bedtime completely dry - WOOHOO!!! (She also has a teeny tiny bladder and goes potty every 5 minutes during the day!)

Logan is 95% there...only having maybe 3 overnight accidents this past week. He wakes up from naps dry and does PERFECT during the day!

Lathan has the day time down (minus the one accident he had today while we were out running errands and not near a potty). These past few days he's woken up from his nap dry but hasn't completely mastered the night time. I'm not really surprised considering they boy drinks liquids gallons at a time! That's ok though, he has a water proof mattress with a sheet on top, then a waterproof mattress pad with another sheet on top and then a waterproof crib pad on top of that so if he has an accident during the night, we just remove a layer and he's good to go!

Team

He's officially one of them! Today, they actually all played together...London was in heaven! He kept looking up at me with a big grin like it was the coolest thing ever :)

Potty Training

We started potty training again this week and I'm very happy to report that we've had much success!!! (We tried a few months ago and it just wasn't happening. Poor Lauren sat on a potty pretty much all day long and nothing happened while the boys peed on command for M&M's. We felt so sorry for Lauren that by the end of the day we were giving her M&M's for tooting on the potty!). Its a different story now...

I've been telling the trio that when we got back from Florida we wouldn't have any more diapers. While on vacation, Lauren decided she could use the potty and really hasn't looked back since. On Monday when they woke up, we took off diapers and went cold turkey (no diapers at naps or nightime either). Its been exhausting but worth it! Lauren and Logan have both woken up from naps and bedtime for the past two days completely dry!

Lauren is the biggest cheerleader. She follows the boys into the bathroom and tells them how proud she is of them!

We got them each a watch that has an alarm. At first I was setting their alarms for every 30 minutes but that got VERY old REAL fast. By the time I got them all in the bathroom, they did their business and I got them cleaned up, their watches would start going off again! By Monday afternoon I was setting them for every hour and it worked perfectly. By Tuesday, they were really going on their own but they enjoyed their watches too much to take them off. Cracks me up though when their alarms go off...they all stop what they're doing to hold their watch up to their ears to see if its their turn. No matter what they're doing, they'll take off running for the potty!

I decided to do a sticker chart this time instead of the M&M's...thought the candy might be a hard habit to break!

(As you can see, one of us is VERY eager about the potty!)

Here's a little video of them with their alarms. You can't really hear the watches but you'll notice them holding their watches up to their ears and then running for the potty. Logan is my favorite at the end...his watch goes off, he puts down his toys, grabs his Bible and runs for the potty!)

*Please excuse our living room...potty training has done a number on our laundry, especially since we already had a massive pile from just getting back from vacation!*

All Good Things Must Come To An End...

We left Destin on Saturday...

The kids before we loaded up...

We stopped for lunch in Mississippi at Cracker Barrel (a big time favorite of the trios!). These little rockers were on sale half off but Daddy insisted they wouldn't fit in our already packed car...shoot!!!

Lathan

Logan

Patrick and I had a good laugh when we looked in the back seat and saw Lathan's bed head!

And speaking of hair...Missy Moo came up with this do all by herself Sunday...GORGEOUS!!!
