Christmas 2008

Christmas Eve

After church we went by Granny & Grandpa's to exchange gifts.

The boys using their new Ace Hardware tools to open thier presents!

Each of them got a digital camera...so cool!

After our visit with Granny & Grandpa we headed over to Grammie's for dinner. Aunt Tonya was there and she hooked the babies up with some much needed clothes!!!

Grammie got the baby cousins matching pjs. (So fun that next Christmas there will be two more little ones added to the bunch!)

Logan, Emmy, Lauren & Lathan

We left Grammie's and put the kids down so that Santa could visit our house.

The next morning this is what the trio woke up to!

Lauren and her triplet stroller

Off they go! The boys taking off on their new trikes...

Triplets on Wheels!

Then it was off to visit Maw Maw, Aunt Sandy, Uncle Jake and Grandpa & Grandma where the gifts continued!!!

Lathan got a karaoke machine (PERFECT for our little entertainer!)

Triplets lost in the pile of packages!

Logan got a guitar

Playing t-ball (in Aunt Sandy's BRAND NEW house...and check out Lathan in the background playing with the breakables...YIKES!!!)

Sweet Lauren

We had a delicious lunch at Maw Maw's and then continued our holiday journey over to Bobka's where the babies got MORE gifts and got loved on by MORE family!!!

Lathan with Aunt Ali & Uncle Aaron

From there we made it over to our final destination for the day...Grammie's!

The babies had a nap and then were ready to open more presents.

Aunt Pammie got them a set of handbells which were of course a hit!

Logan jamming!

Emmy chiming in

Once again lost in a sea of packages!

Unfortunately I stopped taking pictures at this point (for some reason I was REALLY tired!!!) but the trio each got a cupcake with a candle to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus and then we ate our Turkey Dinner.

Visions of Sugarplums...

Today we baked!!!

Logan rolling out the sugar cookie dough

Lathan's favorite cookie cutter...the star!

Missy Moo hard at work

Loggie Bear Rolling

Lathan & Lauren

Oh what a mess (Daddy mopped the flour twice today)!

Three different personalities...Lathan thinks EVERYTHING is hilarious, Lauren didn't like getting gooey, and Logan was ticked that I moved him away from his work station to take this picture!

Lathan & Lauren Flour Fighting!

Earlier we made a Gingerbread Choo Choo train

As much fun as it was to make, I think the trio thought it was much more exciting when I told them they could eat a little of it!

Logan going for the gold!

After we got some munching out of the way, we moved on to make our Gingerbread house that Grammie got for us.

Well some of us worked on it...others continued to eat!

The Masterpiece!

While the trio napped, I baked the cookies that we had cut out earlier. After naps, they got to decorate them with icing and sprinkles.

Lathan

Our triplet bakery team

Lathan, Lauren & Logan

Yum Yum!

Daddy thought it would be fun to draw faces on the babies!

Lathan didn't care one way or the other...

Lauren started crying for him to wipe it off!

And Logan thought it was the funniest thing he'd ever heard of!

Lauren calmed down and was fine as long as she was in charge of the icing!

The remaining goodies that we made today that didn't end up on the floor (or in our tummies!!!)

London

C-section has been scheduled...January 20th at 7:45am!

The hospital didn't have time open on the 15th or 16th so the 20th was the next available date. Although being born on a Thursday or Friday (and extended weekend for most) would have been helpful for family and friends, I'm kind of glad he has a few more days to cook...we want a well done baby this time and NO NICU!

So he should be born on a Tuesday...the same as the triplets! And although the timing probably won't work out exactly...

Logan was born on a Tuesday at 7:42
Lauren on a Tuesday at 7:43
Lathan on a Tuesday 7:44
and now London scheduled for a Tuesday at 7:45!

Lauren's Christmas Program

Lauren's ballet class had their Christmas Program this week.

They started out with bar work...

Then showed off their Christmas Routine (note...Lauren is NOT a morning person and I always have to drag her out of bed to get her to her 9:30am class. This particular morning she was extra sleepy, had terrible bed head, and I'm pretty sure she falls asleep standing up half way through her dance!!!)

Thank you so much to everyone who was able to come and watch her. Lauren loves to perform and I know she was proud to see so many "fans" in the audience!

Natchitoches

This past weekend we took a quick trip to Natchitoches, Louisiana for the annual Festival of Lights.

We got to Natchitoches just in time to eat (Aunt Sue and Uncle Marty made gumbo, red beans and rice and 7 layer dip...YUM!) and then headed to the festival. We took a barge out and were right in the middle of the lights and fire works...it was PERFECT!

Daddy & Logan

Triplets on boat

The sides of the river were lined with Christmas lights...

It was all fun and games until the boat started taking on water and we almost recreated the scene from Titanic!!! Heehee...just the kind of stuff memories are made of! (It really wasn't bad at all - right Aunt Pammie?!?!?) Lauren took advantage of the situation and asked if she could get new shoes. Ever since, when I put on her tennies, she tells me they are wet (which they of course are not!!)

On Sunday, we got up and The Poole's gave the triplets their Christmas presents. Those pictures are on another camera that I'll have to upload later.

Thanks Sue & Gang for such a fun time!!!
