Urgent Care

No adventure would be complete without a trip to the urgent care center right???

Logan made sure we could mark that off of our list.

Last week Logan had a fever for a day. The fever went away but the crankiness stayed (especially at night). He just wasn't acting himself and we felt like something was wrong. We got back into town Friday night and went to pick up some of our things before we came back to Grammie's to stay the night (power still out). On our way to Grammie's Logan started up again just as we were passing an urgent care center. Being that the weekend was upon us and that we weren't sure who would be open due to the storm, we went ahead and took him in.

It was a little chaotic...they had been couped up in the car all day. The ER room was their first chance to let loose!

Luckily the room was pretty large and had lots to keep them entertained!

Not too much could make Loggie smile, until he got a spin in the doctor's chair!

Oh, that new smile!

Turns out Logan had plenty of reason to be cranky. Ear and a throat infection. Nothing a good antibiotic, some hugs and LOTS of ice cream couldn't fix!!!

YUMMY!!!

* We went by our house again today and our area is still without power. The news and our provider's website both say we should be back up by Thursday...fingers crossed! Luckily for us, we have somewhere to go (THANKS GRAMMIE) but boy do we miss being at home!

  1. I agree...nothing like home! I'm with you on the fingers crossed thing for Thursday. But seeing that a tree is still leaning on power lines at the entrance to the neighborhood, it's not looking likely. =( We wanna go home too!

  2. Oh, I figured somebody would check on your house while you were gone, but just fyi, I checked on it too. Luckily, we both don't have damage and both of our swingsets are aparently hurricane proof. Sweet! Gotta put a good review in for that brand of swingsets.

  3. Poor Loggie Bear! Give him lots of kisses from JuJu, Emmy, and Josh. We miss all of you around here! It has been so quiet this week!

  4. Poor Logan!! Man, that's rough. But, like you said, ice cream certainly makes it all better.

What a drag about your electricity. How annoying...but, at least Grammie is close by!

We'll be in town in October, so maybe we can get the kiddos together. I'll keep you posted on when.

  6. Poor, little Loggie!

Sorry about the electricity, but it sure is fun coming home to those six little arms raised up to greet me!

    Love,
    Grammie

  7. Poor little guy! I hope the medicine works quick.

I hope he starts feeling better soon! Nothing like being sick and not being able to be in your own house. I bet Grammie is giving him plenty of lovin too!

  8. Oh, I can't believe you are still out of power! Tomorrow is Thursday so I hope it's your lucky day. My heart goes out to all of you, but I have to say that for my lit'l Loggie Bear, give him extra hugs and kisses from Grandma. Those ear infections will make anybody cranky! Hope he's feeling better by now. Hugs and kisses to Lathan and Lauren too!

  9. Logan sure looked sad in one of those pics. Lauren is so funny with that smile. Once they start the silly smiles it is hard to get a "good" smile!!!
    hope Loggie is better now.
