Our vacation has officially begun!
We flew out on Saturday afternoon, armed with lots of treats and prizes for the babies. Everything from Goldfish to Magnadoodles (and even their own photo albums that included pics of Disney Characters so that they could use the flight to brush up on their character identification!)
The babies were so incredibly good for the entire flight. They ate lots of snacks, drew, read books and played musical laps between the 5 adults (Mommy, Daddy, Grammie, Aunt Pammie, and Aunt JuJu)
Lauren
Emmy
Lathan Napped in Grammie Lap for a majority of the flight
Logan and Mommy took a quick snooze towards the end of the flight
Everything went really well until we went to pick up our luggage. Lauren's car seat bag had torn and her cover had grease stains all over it. The cover was torn in one spot and when we took it off, the styrofoam piece that protects her head was now in two pieces. This turned out to be a HUGE hassle. Continental at first only agreed to have it dry cleaned and to reimburse us for a new piece of foam, but when we got to the rental car to strap it it, we discovered that the latch for the seat belt had snapped and the car seat was ruined. Continental took it back and gave us a loaner. They will be reimbursing us for a brand new seat (and cover thanks to Grammie's determination) now, when we go back for our return flight.
Such a pain.

Awesome!! So glad everything is going well!
ReplyDelete(So sorry about Lauren's carseat, but I'm not surprised Grammie helped you out with that!)
We think about you all the time and hope you continue to have a BLAST!!
We love you!!
Aunt Sue and crew
Have lots of fun!!! I really enjoyed Disney a few years ago!!! Take lots of pictures :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful, magical time!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you took the babies to DisneyWorld! So many people say they won't take their kids until they're much older. But, the MAGIC of it is when they're little...up to around preschool age, as they think everything is real! THAT is what the magic is. For them it's not seeing someone in a Goofy costume...it's seeing Goofy!
ReplyDeleteWe first took our now eight year old to Disneyland when he was about 18mos. Not much of a surprise that he LOVED it. He has had so many magical moments with the characters over the years. Our second child, who is now three, has been four times. He will tell you about his favorite ride, hugging the characters in Toon Town, etc..
Your little ones will remember all the fun times they had there!
I'm jealous, I want to be in Disney World!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and Emmy needs to pull her skirt down in one of those pictures. Naughty girl!!
That looks like so much fun!! I can't wait until we make a trip with Bubbies! Enjoy every minute!
ReplyDeleteSo much FUN!! Glad you posted all of the pics - love the one with the castle in the distance. Hope you guys can sneak away for a bit...I've heard "grown up" time at Disney is fun too! Tell everyone hi!
ReplyDeleteLuv, Leah
It is so strange to see you guys standing in places we were standing in just a few weeks ago. Madison is very excited the babies got to go to Disney - even though she told you that you didn't have enough money. Silly girl. =)
ReplyDeleteWow it seems like your all having fun,
ReplyDeletethats a pain when they just dont care for your luggage and just throw it around,
I hope you have more fun in the rest of your holiday
Oh my you are so brave to take them all to Disney. I hope you have a great time.
