Little Dippers

Once there is nothing else to dip, they like to drink the sauce!

********
We spent last week with Aunt Ju Ju and Emmy. On Monday we all went to lunch at Brooklyn Bagel and then did a little shopping. We bought another trailer for our wagon so that Emmy (and other friends) can ride with us.
Logan holds on to Emmy anytime the wagon is moving...and not just occasionally...each time we took them out last week, Logan made sure Emmy was always protected!

We had them dressed alike (of course!) so we tried to get a cute group picture of them. (And I thought trying to get 3 babies looking/smiling was difficult...add one more and its an impossible task!)
Lauren, Lathan, Emmy & Logan

They were in exceptionally good moods...especially Lauren!

This one was good of my kids...

With a quick (and messy) photoshop touchup, we were able to add in Emmy

The trio love their cousin Emmy, and Logan is especially affectionate. He gives Emmy kisses ALL THE TIME!

And she loves on him right back!

On Tuesday, Aunt Natalie and Miss Avery came to play...

Then on Wednesday we went to the mall.
We were dressed in our Christmas pj's (actually just the babies) for a studio picture. While we were waiting we passed by Santa's house. There wasn't anyone else in line so Santa got to play with the babies for a while.
When he was far away, everyone was happy!

They were even ok when he came over to talk to them.

And were even friendly when he knelt down and started playing peekaboo...

Everyone seemed to have warmed up to the guy so he came around the fence and let the babies touch him.

The triplet + Santa + beautiful baby (Emmy) combo started to draw a pretty big crowd so Santa returned to his chair. We waited a minute or two and then joined him in his cottage for a picture (which you all know how that turned out!) Suddenly when we were on his turf, the babies wanted nothing to do with him!

The plan was for Emmy to be in our picture but there just wasn't room (and it probably was not safe given the tantrums two of mine were throwing!) I think Emmy appreciated her alone time with Santa...isn't she sweet!!!

After our disaster with Santa, we made our way down to the Picture People. Once again, they were perfect just minutes before we needed them to be...

But then once we tried for a picture, the crazies came out! Logan, who is usually very independent, wouldn't let us put him down. He cried and cried and refused to sit for any of the pictures. We tried everything from throwing balls, dancing around like fools, and finally gave into bottles. Still we weren't able to get a decent shot of the 4 babies.

This picture is the ONLY one out of hundreds taken, that even remotely looked ok. Good thing we have a session scheduled with Miss Leah here soon!

Dance Routine
Aunt Ju Ju and I spent the day trying to teach the 4 babies the Soulja Boy dance. It didn't go quite as well as we had hoped, but we were able to teach them this little routine...

Day with Daddy

We were hoping that the HUGE tree would distract them, but it wasn't long before Lathan noticed the water fountains

He summoned Logan and they were off!

After playing for a while, we had to load them up and head over to the doctor's office for Lathan's synagis shot. Poor guy.
As soon as we walked in, another baby was getting her shot and was pretty upset. Lathan instantly put 2 and 2 together and when we set him on the scale to be weighed he got hysterical. To make matters worse, they didn't have enough medicine on site and had to call for some more to be delivered. Luckily there was a big play area to distract him, though he kept going to the door and trying to escape!

Lauren About to Come Down the Slide

Backup arrived and it was time for Lathan's shot. It is a terribly large amount of medicine and apparently it stings pretty bad when injected. The amount of medicine needed depends on weight, and only a certain amount can go into one spot, so for a little guy Lathan's size, he requires 2 big shots. I had to hold him down while he got a big injection in each leg. I hated it (and I'm sure he did too!)
Lately when Lathan is gets caught doing something he shouldn't be or when he's in a situation he'd rather not be in (like when strangers get too close), he'll just shut his eyes and pretend not to be there. That's exactly what he did after his shot. Like he was trying to go to a better place...just pitiful!

So of course we headed directly over to Toys R US!

He got a Mickey Mouse DVD and some toothpaste!!!

Later we met up with Grammie at Guadalajara. Have I mentioned before how much the babies (especially the boys), LOVE hot sauce!?!!?

Fun filled day!
We got an early start yesterday so that we could get Lauren up and dressed for her first day of ballet class!
She was VERY excited!

The boys weren't exactly pleased to be up so early.
Lathan

Logan
He just isn't a morning person!!!

Emmy was in town and got to come with us to class.
Lauren, Emmy & Aunt JuJu

At the beginning of class, the babies did an obstacle course. Miss Jackie would help them over the mailbox and then clap for them.

Lauren kept coming back so that Miss Jackie would clap for her!

After class we picked up Logan and Lathan and we all headed down to the Galleria.
Loving our Podees!

We had lunch at Cheesecake -
Lauren, Emmy & Aunt JuJu

Lauren LOVES the bread there...its her favorite!

Emmy sipping on some delicious water!

Lathan
There wasn't enough room for three high chairs at our table so they brought Lathan a booster seat. That lasted about 3 seconds!

Off to do more shopping - Emmy hiched a ride in the Choo Choo Wagon.

Logan didn't like being the only boy and demanded that Lathan get his seat back!

We had plans to meet Aunt Pammie out at Old MacDonald's farm but it turns out they are only open weekends in November. Instead we met Grammie, Aunt Pammie and Daddy at Chuy's for dinner.

Emmy and Aunt JuJu left this morning...sniff sniff, but will be back for Thanksgiving. We can't wait!!!
