When the babies were in the NICU I was always amazed at how big their pictures made them look. It was really hard to tell in a photo just how tiny they really were. I wanted to take the classic preemie picture with Patrick's wedding ring on their arm but there were always so many wires in the way and in the beginning they were so fragile, I just didn't want to bother them.
When they were about a month old, Aunt JuJu got them these little finger puppets from Pottery Barn Kids...they were the perfect size for our little ones!

And just for fun, a little video of our lunch today. We recently took the trays off of the trios highchairs and we pull them straight up to the table. They LOVE the new setup...its like eating lunch/dinner with little grownups!
What big kids they are now!!! They just make me smile! Emmy really enjoyed the video too!

ReplyDeleteOh that is just so cool and beautiful. I've been thinking about getting out Colin's preemie diapers and putting them along side of the ones he has grown in to but now I am thinking I am going to be on the hunt for the little elephant that we stuck in his isolette with him.

Lathan was the smallest when he was a month old, and now he's the biggest! The finger puppets were perfect for them, they'll have to keep those forever!

Oops Ashley...that was a typo! I've fixed it now...Logan was the heaviest, then Lathan, then Lauren. Funny because Logan was much smaller than the rest of them at birth! Lathan had lots of trouble in the beginning and was definetly the sickest. Once he got it together though he started gaining like crazy and hasn't looked back since!!!

ReplyDeleteWe also have BBG triplets but ours are 13 now! I sure could have used those Podee bottle things.
When our trio was born we had a 6yr old and an 18 month old. Busy times. Ours were quite a surprise, I didn't know I was pregnant until two months in!

ReplyDeleteEither way, they were all so tiny!! I held a baby yesterday that still wasn't as big as Cody or Cade when they were born and he looked so little, I can't even imagine how small yours were! They sure are the most adorable triplets in the world...I might be a little biased though.
I can't tell you enough how wonderful the trio looks. They are so smart too!!! Steph, you are a fabulous mom and you are doing such a terrific job. The babies are just precious!!!!

ReplyDeleteI must be really emotional tonight because those picture made me a little teary. It's incredible the difference. Not that this is at all the same, but Ella was only 4 lbs 10 oz...she was one month early. I can't really even remember how tiny that was. We have a couple comparison pictures and it's just so hard to believe.
