Stepping Stones

I was tricked by Aunt JuJu in thinking this would be a good activity for the kids...

Actually I'll take the blame for it not going so well. I'm all for a mess, doesn't bother me at all, but this project was a disaster! My first mistake was letting the kids mix their own "concrete". I knew the kit only came with one pan so I bought three foil pie pans so that we could all mix together. Turns out there is a reason only one plate is included...it is nearly impossible to do more than one! Things were drying faster than I could stir...I'm pretty sure London may have eaten some of the mixture and we weren't able to get the stones flat (or add the kids handprints like I had wanted!). They had fun though and that's all that matters. I know we can do it better next time (I learned that Aunt JuJu mixes it up without kids and then once its dry lets them paint....ahhhh!)



Time to paint...we all love painting!!!
