Whew...what a day!!!

This picture pretty much sums up today's experience at The Picture People...

The staff was incredibly nice and the babies were looking mighty cute in their Christmas Pj's, but the timing just wasn't right.

After our picture appointment we took a trip to the Galleria, where the babies met Santa for the first time...

(There was a little girl standing to the side of the photographer and Logan and Lauren never took their eyes off of her. Though this didn't make for a great picture, it may have been a good thing since they never saw who was actually holding them!)

We are incredibly worn out from our little adventure. Hauling the stroller, two diaper bags and three babies did us in! I lost count on how many times Patrick commented on how he wished Grammie and Aunt Pammie could have been with us to help. He tires easily from a normal day of shopping...its gonna take him a while to get over today's outing! And I'm not sure that I will ever get over how much attention we attract when we go places. It is so funny to me to hear just about every other person we pass make a comment or to stop us to look at the babies. They either have a new baby of their own and "can't imagine three", know someone who has multiples or are just curious to see triplets (not that I wouldn't have done the same thing a year ago!). A lot of people see us carrying one or two and say something about how cute our twins are...then they see the other(s) in the stroller and go nuts! One lady came over to tell us about her co worker's wife who is on bedrest pregnant with triplets (we told her of our lengthy hospital stay), another lady knew someone with preemie twins born recently at 29 weeks who are struggling, much like ours did in the beginning. She was relieved to hear that ours had too, been on ventilators, had brain bleeds, etc and that they are now perfectly healthy. Kind of neat!

So now I'm off to bed a little earlier than usual to get some rest and gear up for our 3rd round of RSV shots tomorrow...yuck!

  1. Looks like you all had a great time! Next year's picture with Santa will be REALLY good!!! I'm picturing that picture we have of Pam reaching out screaming!! Too funny! Also, I think it is wonderful that you are able to tell your story to strangers to give them hope for their loved ones. I know that stories like that always comforted me when you and your kiddos were going through all that!

    Love you all!
