Since the trio is getting older, their funny phrases and mispronunciations are getting fewer and fewer but we still have some good ones. My favorites these days...
"Sgabetti" - Spaghetti (I actually have to think about this sometimes to remember which one is right since we say Sgabetti so often!)
"Wisher Wipers" - Windshield Wipers
"Gasoline" - Vaseline (This one is hilarious...lately Lauren does too good of a job wiping after she uses the bathroom, so much so that she had a little raw spot. She came up to me the other night and asked me to put "gasoline on her hiney"!
"Cepan" - Pecan
Lauren always asks "What you said?"
Lathan (when he hears something funny) "Oh no...NEVER!"
Always makes me laugh to hear them go into the bathroom and tell each other "I need privacy". They must say this 100 times a day!
They don't really say this too much any more now that they are used to it, but when London first came home and I was feeding him, they'd always ask "What london doing? He eatin' your boobie?"
I'm sure there are more, I'll have to update this list when I think of them and see if Patrick has any to add :)
What's crazy is that the kids grow up and the grownups still use the words and phrases from childhood passed. You "girls" and "the boys" have given us vocabulary that we just won't give up.
ReplyDeleteso cute....My grandson would hear his sister ask for privacy...and he would say "I need some private seat". It is funny because he really had a point there.....
ReplyDeleteMy oldest would ask me what I was feeding his younger brother....then he would notice and say "oh, you are feeling him with your baby things". I thought that was so funny.....
Kids are so funny....
