Baby B
Missy Moo
Middle Child
Often called Missy Moo, Missy or just plain Moo by Mommy & Daddy. Sometimes the boys, especially Logan, will call her Missy Moo as well but for the most part she's known to the boys as "Nonnie" (??? Logan made it up!!!)
She likes it when we sing her Chris Brown's With You and replace Boo with Moo!
Lauren is really sweet and most of the time pretty easy going. The two's seem to be showing up more in Lauren than the boys, but I think it could be that its just a drastic change from the Lauren we once knew. Not necessarily a change for the bad, we're just getting a lot more opinions and "NO's" from Lauren which wasn't like her before. Maybe a prelude to the teenage years????
Lauren's biggest thing is her baby dolls (or bears, etc). She always has one in tow and if we're heading out to get in the car, she'll grab as many babies as she can fit in her arms to take along for the ride.
When Aunt JuJu puts Miss Emmy to sleep, she bounces her on a stability ball and shushes her to sleep, so when Emmy was staying with us, that's how we got Emmy to go night night. Ever since then, Lauren will take her babies to a ball and bounce/shush them until they fall asleep. Its SO sweet, I wish I had video of it (our camera is broken - for some reason it didn't care for the milk Lauren and Lathan decided to share with it!) Here's a picture though.
The Ultimate Mommy...bouncing her baby to sleep while talking on the phone!
Since Daddy and I call Lauren "Moo", I find it very fitting that the majority of Lauren's shoes are made by the brand MooShu. Get it... Moo's Shoes are MooShu's!!!
Shoes and bows are a must for Lauren. She's pretty good about wearing a bow around the house, but is fanatic about it (and her shoes) when we go out. She's been known to have meltdowns if her bow gets lost!
She LOVES Mickey Mouse! (AKA Micka Mowse)
She's always up for a good game of Peek A Boo. She says it so cute so, with the emphasis on BOO.
"pick a BOOOO" Lauren
Lauren loves EVERYTHING pink. The boys are pretty into their colors as well but if someone happens to sit in Moo's pink chair, or pick up her pink cup she goes ballistic. Sometimes I think they do it just to tease her!
She really likes the water and is best about going under, etc, but she really hates to be splashed or sprayed with cold water from the water hose (which is Lathan's favorite).
Her favorite foods include: Bananas, Strawberries, Pineapple, Purple Grapes, Pancakes, French Fries, Muffins, Yogurt, Beans, Mexican Food, and her new favorite Marshmallows. Although you probably wouldn't guess it, Lauren is our best eater! Don't know where she puts it though...there's not one ounce of fat on the child!
Proportionately, she's the tallest of the trio. She is less than one inch shorter than Lathan, but almost 10 pounds lighter!
Here she is as we're getting ready to go inside from a day outside. The pool was deflating and the kids had been striped down for their baths...
Lauren was the first to know all of her colors. To this day, I LOVE to hear her say BLUE. She does this silly thing with her tongue. I don't have a recent clip, but this is it (October '07)...only now she does it even more pronounced!
You should hear her say BLUE BALLOON!!!
Missy Moo LOVES to sleep in...sometimes an hour past the boys (even when we're all in the same bed and their jumping all over her!)
She loves to have her hair dried (and even sits and lets me dry it out with a round brush now!)
HATES wet diapers and most of the time takes them off before I get a chance to change them. Probably 2-3 times a day I go to pick her up and she's diaperless. The cons I suppose for me of having her in dresses giving her easy access!
Lauren is a Mommy's Girl through and through, though I have to say she's going through somewhat of a Daddy phase. Generally though, she's my shadow!
Missy Moo...you make us so very proud!
I love that she bounces her baby to sleep! She is going to be the best mommy one day! We love you Moo!

ReplyDeleteLove you Missy Moo!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for telling us about the babes. I really wish I knew them. From your pictures I could tell she did not like to be splashed, like at water parks. I was glad you told about her babies, that is one tidbit I had not known from her pictures.
