Super Stars

Today the babies starred in their first ever commercial!

A little background - our family has been selected to be the ambassador family for our area's WalkAmerica. We did our first official photo shoot last month and then today got called in for a commercial!

I wasn't given too many details but knew that the babies would be confined to their stroller for a long period of time so I packed a ton of snacks...

Turned out that the film crew was late arriving and we spent a little over 2 hours waiting in a "green room". All of the snacks I brought were long gone by the time it was time to shoot!

Poor Logan didn't make it in the commercial. We're actually lucky that they got any of the babies to cooperate. They were SO good all afternoon (and got MANY compliments) but towards the end, we had run WAY over their nap time and they had been confined to small areas for the majority of their day (the hour or so car ride, then the long wait in the "green room"). When we took them out on to the set NOBODY wanted to be strapped into the stroller. Daddy ended up holding Lauren in the background and pretended to play with a baby (Logan) in the stroller while Lathan and I took center stage! Lathan was held by Mr. Orr while he said a few words about this year's March for Babies...Lathan did GREAT! I think it really helped that Mr Orr had come into the green room and played with the babies before hand - he was a SUPER nice guy!


While we were shooting the commercial, Logan hung out with Gerta. She read him books and fed him cookies...doesn't sound like a bad deal to me at all!

And the finished product...we'll get that soon and if its not too cheesy I'll post it! The March of Dimes will distribute 500-600 copies of the tape to businesses and corporations throughout the gulfcoast area to help promote the March for Babies (formerly known as the March of Dimes). They also said that one of the cable stations will be running it so we'll see! Kind of funny!
