Sunday Fun Day

Today Daddy and I took you guys to see Cars 2 - woohoo!

You had us all cracking up London...your seat kept folding up on you! We offered you a booster seat but you made it very clear that wasn't what you wanted...you had to be just like the big kids!

Lathan, Lauren & Logan...you all really enjoyed the movie. I think we all agreed that we like the original Cars movie better, but this one kept you all entertained.

After the movie we went to Grammie's house and took a nap then we loaded up to go out to dinner at Cheddars for Bobka's birthday. The restaraunt didn't have a table big enough so we split up in to three booths...Ali, Aaron and Lane sat with us :)

Then home and off to bed!

Circus & WonderWild

We've had such a great weekend so far and we aren't even half way in to it!

Last night we picked up Daddy at work - we had tickets to the Circus!!!

First stop, Papasitto's - yummy!







You guys were all really excited to be at the circus - London, you were shouting "CHOO CHOO"!

In our seats waiting for the show to start...

This is your special hand signal London, not sure what it means but you sure do make it a lot! I like to think its your way of signing "I love you"

Aunt Pammie gave you each money before we left so that you could buy something special. You all got a light up spinner and were SUPER excited!!!

Your cotton candy came with a ring master hat...

The circus was fun, though none of you were crazy about it (and in fact you were all asking to leave before it was over (!!!) but Daddy and I sure enjoyed hanging out with our "babies"!

Lathan and Logan, you both said that your favorite part were the motorcyclist in the sphere (and I agree that was VERY impressive!). Lauren your favorite part were the "ballerinas who were on strings and did ballet in the air". London, you pretty much just watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Choo Choo Express the whole time on my iphone so I'm not sure you have a favorite part - you did smile when you saw the elephants though!

You all fell asleep once we got in the car and slept straight through until the morning. When we got up it was time for the Grand Opening of Wonderwild. We had reservations for the party and you guys were excited to get to wear your dress up clothes!

Spiderman, Buzz Lightyear, Snow White and a Power Ranger - such a cute bunch!!!

I think its safe to say you guys had a GREAT time at the party!!!

No face painting or balloon art for you London...you were WAY too entertained with the train table :)

Pizza and Juice for lunch. They had cupcakes and cookies but you ALL decided to skip desert and head right back to the play equipment!

Tom's Fun Band provided music for the party. Before we left, he let you all play his guitar...

He'd make up funny lyrics to the "songs" you guys were playing!

The boys each got a red super hero cape to take home and Lauren, you got a purple tutu. So much fun!!!

Germs

Awww man...I thought we had escaped the tummy bug that Lathan had on Friday. We went the entire weekend with no symptoms (way to go guys!!!) but in the middle of the night, Daddy came and got me...poor London, you were sick :( You stayed sick throughout the night - Mommy and Daddy gave you a bath and tried our best to comfort you. It breaks our hearts when you guys get sick!

It was the first day of big kid Vacation Bible School with Granny. You all were dressed and ready to go but out of no where, Lauren, you got sick. You cried and cried when Loggie and Lathan left for VBS without you. I carried you upstairs and laid you in the bed with London. In between "episodes" we cuddled, you both catnapped and we watched Disney Junior.

P.S. London, that's 7up on your shirt...you weren't real good with drinking out of the straw laying down!

Oh so pitiful...London, your new thing is to add "Mommy" to everything. "Apple Juice Mommy", "Ba Ba Mommy", "I do it Mommy". Its absolutely precious and melts my heart each time. Today though it was so sad. When your tummy would start to rumble, you'd cry "No Mommy", "Ouch Mommy"...I wanted to cry!!!

At one point you were feeling a little better. You got up, grabbed a book and then said "Up Mommy". I picked you up and we didn't make it past the first page before you shut your little eyes and fell asleep.

Oh Miss Moo...you were a sick little girl today! You slept for a LONG time. You asked to come downstairs so I moved you (and your towels!!!) to the couch. You wanted to watch Belle's Enchanted Adventure and you watched most of it, but soon your little eyes couldn't stay open any longer and off you went to dream away those pesky germs!

When the boys got home, they were very worried about you both. They went right to work on cards for you. Logan made yours Lauren...he said you liked rainbows. Lathan made yours London...its a beach!

Finished products! (Lathan, once again you were critical of the artwork! You kept telling Logan that his card was messy...stinker!)

Your cards worked boys! London and Lauren were feeling much better tonight!

Love you all and hope this was the end of the bug! (Though Logan, I did tell you earlier today that you might be the next to get sick. You get scared when you throw up and you try to fight it. I told you that if your tummy felt funny, that you needed to tell me and that I could help you and it wouldn't be as bad. You told me that you didn't think you'd get sick -that you are "pretty strong" and that you've been eating all your vegetables, even though you don't like them. Crossing fingers, toes and saying prayers that you avoid this!

Lathan, I found your Magna Doodle in the seat pocket in front of your carseat. I was very impressed with your drawing AND your spelling! Such a smartie pants :)

Right before we came inside (from playing, washing cars, jumping on the trampline, etc) I tortured you all with a quick picture. Quite dirty little ones but still oh so cute!

Ears

Lauren...you got your ears pierced today!

We had plans to go to Hobby Lobby and run some errands with Grammie but while we were getting dressed, you started asking about my earrings. You've asked before when you would be able to wear "real" earrings and I've always told you that whenever you're ready, I would take you. You usually asks me again how they pierce your ears and then say "maybe when I'm 9"! Today though it was different. I told you how it might feel and you were fine with it - so we went with it! I fully expected you to chicken out, even up until the last second (you're the one who gets nervous about getting your teeth cleaned or ears checked out at the pedi) but you were a champ! The manager at Sweet and Sassy talked you through everything and was great. We picked out your earrings and another employee came to help. You sat in my lap, they put the guns on your ears, we counted to three and that was it - no tears...you didn't even flinch! They showed you a mirror and your huge grin was priceless. I watched your face light up and couldn't believe how grown up you've gotten. You got to pick out a lollipop, walk the runway and they took your picture for your certificate.

Our afternoon of running errands turned into a session of spoiling Miss Lauren. Grammie took you to Charming Charlie and you got some purple bracelets. We went to Starbucks for your favorite - pumpkin bread, and then Grammie got you some popsicle lip gloss from Sweet and Sassy :)

Such a wonderful day - I'll remember it forever! LOVE YOU LAUREN!!!
