TWHS

Here are a few of my favorite pics from today...

We woke up, happy as usual!!!

Lathan

Logan

Lauren

Then we headed to TWHS to visit some friends. Our first stop was at the 9th grade campus and then we made our way to the senior high. (We got to visit with way more people than I got pictures of!)

The girls all in red! Lauren laughs with Debbie and Debe...

The L's meet the P's! Logan and Lauren get fed by Patsy and Pam...

The babies got to meet Reanna for the first time. Here is Reanna with Lauren...

Lathan, Lauren & The Godwins...

The babies were pretty tired from all the attention. Here Lauren gets all wrapped up and ready to take a nap...

That's all for now!

Books

Aunt Pammie (the 1st grade teacher) should be proud! The babies are really starting to enjoy their books...

Sometimes we share...

Sometimes we don't...

***P.S. Logan got a book, too!***

Adios!

Last week we said goodbye to the last bit of medical equipment still hanging around our house...the apnea monitors! They were incredibly helpful in the beginning, especially at night when the babies sometimes needed to be reminded to breathe but now that the babies are big and strong they are no longer needed.
No monitors, no oxygen tanks, no tubes, no IV poles, no NG tubes, no medications, no nurse visits...nothing!
Just three healthy babies!!!

Pucker Up!

Lathan kept reaching for the lemon on Daddy's glass at dinner last night...

Whew...what a day!!!

This picture pretty much sums up today's experience at The Picture People...

The staff was incredibly nice and the babies were looking mighty cute in their Christmas Pj's, but the timing just wasn't right.

After our picture appointment we took a trip to the Galleria, where the babies met Santa for the first time...

(There was a little girl standing to the side of the photographer and Logan and Lauren never took their eyes off of her. Though this didn't make for a great picture, it may have been a good thing since they never saw who was actually holding them!)

We are incredibly worn out from our little adventure. Hauling the stroller, two diaper bags and three babies did us in! I lost count on how many times Patrick commented on how he wished Grammie and Aunt Pammie could have been with us to help. He tires easily from a normal day of shopping...its gonna take him a while to get over today's outing! And I'm not sure that I will ever get over how much attention we attract when we go places. It is so funny to me to hear just about every other person we pass make a comment or to stop us to look at the babies. They either have a new baby of their own and "can't imagine three", know someone who has multiples or are just curious to see triplets (not that I wouldn't have done the same thing a year ago!). A lot of people see us carrying one or two and say something about how cute our twins are...then they see the other(s) in the stroller and go nuts! One lady came over to tell us about her co worker's wife who is on bedrest pregnant with triplets (we told her of our lengthy hospital stay), another lady knew someone with preemie twins born recently at 29 weeks who are struggling, much like ours did in the beginning. She was relieved to hear that ours had too, been on ventilators, had brain bleeds, etc and that they are now perfectly healthy. Kind of neat!

So now I'm off to bed a little earlier than usual to get some rest and gear up for our 3rd round of RSV shots tomorrow...yuck!

Christmas Tree Farm

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we set out to find our first family Christmas Tree. We started out at a Christmas Tree farm...

Babies First Hayride

Lauren & Grammie, Lathan & Mommy, Logan & Daddy

There were tons of beautiful trees, just not the one that we were looking for...

So after searching for a little while and being chased by bees, we decided to move on.

Jason and Lauren

We made a pit stop to feed ourselves and the babies...

Lathan

And then made our way to Houston Garden Center.

Back Tracking...Our First Thanksgiving

Our first Thanksgiving was AMAZING! We got up a little early, put on our "gobble" shirts and our snazzy new blue jeans (courtesy of Aunt Pammie)...

Lauren

Logan

Lathan

loaded up the Explorer and headed off to visit family.

Our first stop was at Maw Maw's house where the food was, as usual, DELICIOUS! We visited for a few hours and then headed back North. When we got to Grammie's, Aunt Pammie had costumes ready for the babies. (When her first grade class made Pilgrim and Indian outfits for their school play, Miss Roberts worked on a little project of her own!)...

Lathan the Indian

Lauren the Pilgrim

and Logan, the very serious Pilgrim!

Of course the food there, too, was DELICIOUS and a great way to end our perfect day. We had so much to be thankful for and felt very blessed to have such wonderful family to share it with!

Cuties

Just being cute!

We see more and more of the babies personalities each day. It pretty clear to me that we have some pretty cool kids on our hands!

Lathan rolls to the Christmas Tree every chance he gets. His favorite thing to do is to lick the presents!

Caught ya!!!

Lauren LOVES the camera (& mirrors)!

Logan ALWAYS has a smile!

I'm behind on my posting so this week I hope to squeeze a few dated ones (like our first Thanksgiving and trip to the Christmas tree farm) in with the recent ones. I spent over 4 hours last night organizing my photos from the past month which is usually something I do every couple of days (so that it doesn't take a full night of work). Hopefully I can get all caught up this week so that I can get back on track.

What have we been up to that has gotten us off? Nothing major, just little things like cutting teeth (Lathan now has 2 bottom "buds"), eating more solids, and making sure each baby gets lots of love!

And so here is the first of my dated postings...
The Making of Our Christmas Card:

We chose the weekend before Thanksgiving for our "photo shoot". I tacked a black cloth behind our bed for the back drop and since the babies were unable to sit unassisted we called for reinforcements...Grammie, Aunt Pammie, & Gail. The three of them sat behind the cloth and held each baby from behind...

We handed the babies a strand of white Christmas lights, turned off the overhead light and began taking pictures, all of which turned out TERRIBLE! We had a hard time getting all three to look up enough and usually at least one was crying...

So we had to cheat a little! We took individual pictures of the babies and then imported them in to good ole' Photo Shop. The end result...

Merry Christmas!!!
